Why Lotterywest
Powerball, Oz Lotto, Saturday Lotto, Weekday Windfall and Set for Life are national games. The Lott runs them in most states and territories, Lotterywest sells them in Western Australia, and every state plays the same draw: the numbers are the same and so is the dividend for each division. Lotterywest publishes those results, with the number of winners in each division and how many of them are in WA, in a form our script can read. In WA, Weekday Windfall is sold as Millionaire Medley; it’s the same draw.
When pages update
A script checks for new results in the evening after each draw and rebuilds the site when it finds one. Each results page shows the time we last copied the figures, in Sydney time. On busy nights there can be a short gap between the operator publishing a result and our page showing it.
What we copy, exactly
- The winning numbers in the order they were drawn, and the supplementary numbers or Powerball.
- For each division: what you need to match, the number of winners Australia-wide, the number of winners in WA, and the dividend per winning entry.
- The next draw number and the Division 1 offer as the operator states it.
- The odds of each division, as published by the operator.
We don’t recalculate dividends or round them. The “what stood out” notes on archive pages (odd and even numbers, repeats from the previous draw) are counted by our script from the published numbers.
If a figure doesn’t match
The operator’s figure always wins. If you spot a difference, email hello@australialottoresults.com with the game and draw number. We re-copy the result, fix the page and note the correction on the page.
What we don’t check
We don’t verify individual tickets and can’t tell you whether a ticket has won. The operator you bought from does that in its app, on its website or at a retailer.
